Kelso base progress - June 2022

Building work is continuing at our Pinnaclehill site

It's been a wee while since we updated you on the construction of our base - a building to replace the rented garage we have behind Kelso Racecourse.

 Steel frame in place

Since our last post, work has progressed well. The building has a roof and is now clad along the back plus one full gable and most of the other. Based on the time this has taken we would hope that the remainder of the cladding will be done well by mid June and if all goes to schedule, we should see the floor slab poured before the end of the month.

Roof on

The garage doors have been ordered and the windows and pedestrian doors will be on order shortly.

We have been successful in our application to the National Lottery for funds to create a training room but as costs have spiraled, we currently don't have enough to complete the building in the way we'd initially planned.
If any businesses or individuals are in a position to sponsor other elements of the internal work on the building, please get in touch with facilities@bordersar.org,uk

We'll give a further update later in the summer.
