High risk, missing 46 year old male, from Gorebridge with health and personal problems. Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team had been out in the early hours, and requested assistance from our team at 0615 hrs 13-12-16.  Sadly a body was located by the BSARU team.  8 team members were involved.

CALL OUT 30/10/2016

The team were called out again to help with more planned searching of Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh, for the missing student. Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue and Borders Water Rescue Team were also in attendance. Nothing was found.

CALL OUT 26/10/2016

The team were called out this afternoon to search rough and steep ground around Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh, for a missing male student. Police, SARDA, Borders Water Rescue Team and Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue were also involved. The search was stood down at dusk after finding nothing.

CALL OUT 05/09/2016

The team were called out during the evening to look for a high risk missing person near Haddington. As the rest of the team were assembling in Kelso, some local team members had arrived on scene, and he was found by a police dog handler before the rest of the team reached the scene.

CALL OUT 25/08/2016

The team were called out at 10pm to look for a missing vulnerable femaie near Longniddry beach. Several coastguard teams were also involved, as was the Coastguard helicopter. She was later located safe and well outwith our search area and the team were stood down after a couple of hours of searching.

CALL OUT 14/08/2016

Team was called to assist evacuation of a female casualty who had broken her ankle while on Berwick Law. Local team members reached the scene and provided assistance, and the rest of the team were stood down en route to the casualty from Kelso.

STAND BY 08/08/2016

Team was put on stand by to assist Northumberland MRT with an injured walker near Trowupburn in the Cheviots. Team was stood down as R999 evacuated casualty.

CALL OUT 08/08/2016

The team was called out to the Eildon Hills on Monday afternoon, four team members who are on the doorstep of the Eildons attended to assist Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team with a carry out of an injured walker. The casualty was airlifted by Coastguard helicopter Rescue 999 to the Borders General Hospital.

CALL OUT 22/07/2016

10 team members responded to assist in the search for a missing woman near Ayton, Berwickshire in the early hours of Friday 22 July. The team were supported by SARDA and 1 Rescue Helicopter. She was located by the helicopter's thermal camera as the team were searching on the East Coast mainline railway. Directed to her location by the helicopter, the team stretchered the casualty to a waiting road ambulance and taken to hospital.

CALL OUT 09/07/2016

12 team members were involved in the rescue of a hiker from the Pennine Way this evening.
The man who was on his last day of the two week walk, slipped and suffered a serious ankle injury. 
Members of Northumberland National Park MRT were also deployed and one made it to assist with the stretcher, while the others were stood down.

4 team members attended to a man who fell from his horse during the Duns rideout. He was immobilized and transported by team vehicle off the hill, to waiting SAS and on to BGH.

Female, 23, fell from horse, neck, shoulder, back pain.  Heavy rain, mist / low cloud.  fully immobilized evacuated to road for SAS.

Male, 35, fallen from horse, gash to head and painful breathing.
Transferred to SAS at road after evacuation by team landrover. Air ambulance requested.

CALL OUT 14/05/2016

The team was called to assist TVMRT in the search for a missing elderly lady in the Hawick area. Soon after deployment, TVMRT members found the lady in woodland close to where she was last seen having become disorientated.

CALL OUT 27/04/2016

The team was paged in the evening to assist Police Scotland and Tweed Valley MRT in the search for a missing male in the Dalkieth area. We were stood down in the early hours of Thursday having not found the person. We have been stood down from a planned search on Saturday 30 April as sadly a body has been found.

CALL OUT 18/02/2016

The team was called to assist Police Scotland in the search for a missing person in the Livingston area. Team was stood down in the afternoon. The misper was not found.

The team was called out to assist police with several vehicles stuck in snow near Garvald. The team used their 4x4 vehicles, and snow shovels to help move the vehicles with the help of a local farmer with his tractor and snow plough attachment.

The team was on standby to assist police with the search for a missing person between North Berwick and Dunbar. He was located by rescue helicopter.

CALL OUT 08/02/2016

The team was called around 22:00 to assist police with the search for a missing person in the Jedburgh area.
We were stood down while police made further enquiries about the missing person and he has now been found.

CALL OUT 27/01/2016

The team was called out this morning to assist police with flooding incidents in Hawick and Jedburgh.
In case of a surge from upstream later in the day some team members stayed on stand-by in the Kelso area.

CALL OUT 16/01/2016

The team was alerted to a hypothermic walker on the Pennine Way at 05:40. He had been treated by Spine Race medics at the Auchope Hut and the Prestwick rescue helicopter was also tasked to assist. 
As this was ongoing, some of the team was diverted to a second potential casualty with a knee injury in the Halterburn valley.
He was able to walk out and the first casualty was walked to a team Land Rover in the Bowmont valley and transported from there.

CALL OUT 14/01/2016

Thursday evening.  BSARU assisted police with the search for a high risk missing person in the Jedburgh area.  He was found safe and well shortly after the team had been stood down.
