06:06    SPINE RACE    Auchope Hut
We received an early morning call from the event safety team via #NMRS to evacuate two hypothermic participants from the Auchope Refuge Hut a few kms west of the summit of Cheviot.
Northumberland NPMRT sent team members in from Mounthooly to the north (one of the few places along the border where England is north of Scotland!) And our team vehicles made their way up Auchope Rig, getting within metres of the hut.
The casualties had been assessed by Spine Race medics and were able to walk to the waiting Landrover for onward transport to Kirk Yetholm.
