Maxton Meets The Border Search & Rescue Unit

The team is very fortunate to have been nominated Maxton 21 "Charity for 2015" by  the parish of Maxton in the Scottish Borders. Recently, 3 team members gave an illustrated talk to the group and were presented with a greatly appreciated donation of nearly £1200. The money will be spent on talon steep earth anchors. These will give the team an extra flexibility and ability to safely rescue anyone from steep, but often soft, grass covered, ground, commonly found in the Border Hills.

Throughout 2015 Maxton 21 has supported us by organising a number of fundrainig events in our honour. For example, carol singing, a duck race, can collections and Tom Veitch's Mad Maxton Man's Marathon walk through Spain. We really appreciate all your efforts for us and thank you so much for your warm and friendly support over the years.
